J ane (Ford) Dempsey of Bourne, a Verizon FiOS engineer, died Wednesday. She was 58.

Born in Brighton, Ms. Dempsey was a Bourne resident.

Mrs. Dempsey graduated from Our Lady of Presentation Academy in Newton.

She worked initial as an engineering clerk for New England Telephone and modernized to building manage foreman. She many not long ago served as a FiOS operative at Verizon.

She belonged to a organisation of volunteers who knitted scarves for infantry portion in Iraq and Afghanistan.
